There is a magic about trains. I have loved them ever since the days of steam trains. I loved hanging my head out of the window and getting covered in soot. The wind in my face and the sound of the engine set my heart racing.
Returning from Bangkok we were amazed at the shock of arriving in Australia. We hadn’t realised how difficult it has become to live here. In the course of 24 hours we experienced 10 steps to hell and back:

On New Year’s Eve 2009 I was sitting up in Southbank, Brisbane, waiting for the fireworks at midnight. And I started reflecting on some of the magic moments of 2009. What an amazing year this has been!
The start of a new decade. The decade that will end in my 70′s… Wow, that’s something to think about. Life is amazingly full for me right now and very happily so.
