As a whole I avoid taxis, they are expensive and they insulate you, you get a better feel for a place from trains, buses and walking. There are, however, exceptions that put you in touch with the country you are in.
Travel has been part of my life for many decades now. Travel was in my family’s blood long before me. I have relations in the USA, South Africa, Australia, Bali and all over the UK and Ireland.

We spent February in Bali at my cousin Ross’s house. We had a fabulous time there chilling out by the pool and working. The weather was generally hot, but one day it absolutely poured down.
