Graham Phoenix | Cheta Urmila
We are Graham and Cheta, a writing/speaking couple. We are offering our services as reliable international house-sitters for periods of between 4 weeks and 6 months, for people who are looking for someone to look after their home and their pets. Our respective careers involve a lot of writing time as well as travel around the world. Finding ourselves travelling, we have found that it is possible to create a win-win situation: owners get a well-educated, trustworthy couple who are capable of looking after their property and pets, and we get a place to stay and write.
Who are we?
Graham is 61 years old, from the UK, and an award-winning lighting designer, famous for bringing out the true spirit of the majestic cathedrals of England through his innovative lighting (www.grahamphoenix.co.uk). From 2006-2007 he was President of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) based in Chicago (www.iald.org). He is now invited to international conferences, to speak about his experience and his ideas. After 20 years in the field, he has recently shifted into writing, passing on his secrets to those that come after him, as well as other interesting material.
Cheta is 46 years old, from the Netherlands, and has been acknowledged for her skills at setting up and auditing a supermarket chain, as well as helping it develop its concept and navigating it through a flawless Euro-conversion. She is in the process of starting of a new career as a counselor, as well as in the process of writing about her varied life to help others. She has experience as a house-sitter and, in earlier years, had a business looking after animals for people. She understands what people expect from sitters. Both of Graham and Ma Cheta crew as volunteers on a regular basis with Anthony Robbins at his life changing events, and are Senior Leaders in his organisation.

What do we offer?
Next to our respective careers, during our lives we have gained some practical skills that may be of additional benefit to house owners, such as electrical and general maintenance skills and certified house pet caretaker (dogs, cats, parrots, rabbits, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters etc.).
Although either of us may be called to meetings or to speak at conferences and seminars, the fact that there are two of us will always ensure continuity in looking after your house and pets.
What do we ask for?
- broadband/wifi internet connection.
- shops/supermarket at reasonable distance.
- occasional use of a car, or car hire available in the area.
Our main goal is to provide a space to develop our careers, we are not house-sitting to have a holiday, so there is only a limited amount of time we can spend on jobs such as maintenance. We look forward to meeting you in future and wish you all the best.
